Interface with legacy systems ...The import function will receive data from a Database or ASCII file in the
format that the sending (exporting) system requires. This handoff will require an
understanding between the two operatives, import on SCS side and export on legacy system
side. Timing and other considerations must be addressed.
The export function will work the same way as the export function
described above. Generally, the rules are agreed to and the process is straight forward
and requires no intervention. Many times these two processes are applied at the same time
and work together.
